Aagot Johnson

Aagot P. Johnson, 72, 2919 Beverly Hills drive, died Wednesday at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Aagot Pederson was born in Cooks Valley and married Arthur C. Johnson in 1928 at Eau Claire. She was a seamstress at Uniroyal for 38 years. Survivors include a son, Raymond, Eau claire; two brothers, Harold Pederson, Eau Claire, Alvin Pederson, Osceola; seven sisters, Clara Tweet, Eau Claire, Inga Ager, Agnes Cieslak, both of Chippewa Falls, Ella Gough, Mt. Clemons, Mich., Hilda Rooney, Burlington, Bertha Boschetti, San Francisco, Alfreda Rehberg, Fairfield, Calif..; and two granddaughters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stokes and Sons Chapel, with burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, both in Eau Claire.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and until services Saturday at the funeral home.

Andrew Pederson, Cooks Valley, Succumbs

Andrew Pederson, age 87, of the Town of Cook's Valley, died at his home Tuesday evening following a lingering illness.

The decease was born in Hadeland, Norway, February 27, 1871, son of Peter and Ingabord Anderson. He came to this country at the age of 12 years and has lived in the Running Valley community since.

He is survived by his wife, Helga, three sons, Emil of Colfax, Harold, Chippewa Falls, and Alvin, St. Paul; eight daughters, Inga, Mrs. Eyvind Ager, Milwaukee, Hilda, Mrs. Chester Rooney, Aagot, Mrs. Arthur Johnson, Clara, Mrs. Clearence Tweet, all of Eau Claire, Mrs. Agnes Gumm, Chippewa Falls, Bertha, Mrs. Emilio Boschetti, San Francisco, Ella, Mrs. Tom Gough, Petosky, Michigan, Elfreda, Mrs. Albert Renberg, Eau Claire; 25 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Running Valley Lutheran Church with the Rev. W. Korsrud officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eyvind Ager, Chester Rooney, Arthur Johnson, Clarence Tweet, Tom Gough and Albert Ryberg.

EMIL PEDERSON

Emil Pederson, age 71 of Bloomer, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 3, 1975 at Bloomer Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 4, 1904 in Running Valley, the son of Andrew and Helga Pederson. He was married to Mrs. Lillian Peterson Dressel on December 7, 1968 in Colfax, and he farmed in Running Valley until 1971 when he moved to the city of Bloomer.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; three stepsons, Joseph Dressel of Excelsior, Minn., Loren of Colfax and Ralph of Guam; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Donald (Ione) Labs of Lakeville, Minn., and Mrs. Terry (Betty) Ellis of Bloomer; two brothers, Harold of Eau Claire and Alvin of Star Prairie, Wis.; eight sisters, Mrs. Chester (Hilda) Rooney, Mrs. Art (Aagot) Johnson and Mrs. Clarence (Clara) Tweet, all of Eau Claire, Mrs. Eyvind (Inga) Ager and Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Cieslik of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Albert (Alfrieda) Rehberg and Mrs. Bertha Boschetti of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Tom (Ella) Gough of Mt. Clemens, Mich., and ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday at the North Running Valley Lutheran Church with the Rev. Peter Dzick officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery.

Visitation was at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.

During the services, Byron Friberg sang the selections, "Beyond The Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross", accompanied by the organist, Linda Martinson.

The casket bearers were nephews: Raymond Johnson, Jerome Rooney, John Tweet, Robert Gumm, James Peterson and Wallace Ager.

Services held for Helga Pederson

Mrs. Helga J. Pederson, 88, died Friday at the Colfax Area Nursing Home.

Mrs. Pederson was born in Hongset, Norway on March 8, 1884, and came to this country at the age of 18. She and her late husband farmed in the Running Valley area for several years.

She is survived by: three sons, Emil of Bloomer, Harold of Eau Claire and Alvin, St. Paul; and eight daughters, Inga, Mrs. E. B. Ager, Chippewa Falls, Hilda, Mrs. Chester Rooney, Aagot, Mrs. Arthur Johnson and Clara, Mrs. Clarence Tweet, all of Eau Claire, Agnes, Mrs. Frank Cieslik, Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Bertha Boschetti, San Francisco, Ella, Mrs. Thomas Gough Mt. Clemons, Michigan, and Elfreda, Mrs. Albert Rehberg, of Travis Air Force Base, California. She is also survived by a half-sister in Norway, along with 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday at North Running Valley Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Walter Korsrud officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery, with Goodrich Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Casketbearers were Jerome Rooney, Raymond Johnson, Waldemar Ager, Robert Gumm, John Tweet and James Peterson.

HAROLD PETERSON

Harold A. Peterson, 85, of 3209 Gary Lane, died Wednesday, September 20, 2000 at Luther Hospital. He was born on July 24, 1915 in Cook's Valley Township, Wisconsin.

On September 6, 1936, Harold married Bonnie R. Parker in Seattle, Wash. They returned to settle in Eau Claire in 1944. Bonnie died in 1998. Harold married Dora Brewer in Eau Claire on June 19, 1999 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

He was a truck driver for 40 years with Briggs Transfer until retiring in 1977.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and a member of Masonic Eau Claire Lodge #112 F&M, Scottish Rite, Valley of Eau Claire, Zor Shrine Temple Madison and Mahara Shrine Club of Eau Claire.

Survivors include his wife, Dora; two sons, Mike (Charleen) of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Jim of Lockport, Ill.; three grandsons, Dr. Mark (Arlene), Steven (Tracey) and Dan (Lea) Peterson; three granddaughters, Wendy Peterson, Michelle Peterson and Shanely Bowers; six great-granddaughters; a great-great-granddaughter; step-son, Ronald (Shirley) Brewer of Mesa, Ariz.; two stepdaughters, Gloria (Jerry) Nelson of Milton and Karen (Jerry) Mayer of Janesville; eight stepgrandchildren; five sisters, Clara Tweet of Altoona, Agnes Ceislik and Inga Ager, both of Chippewa Falls, Ella (Tom) Gough of Allanson, Mich., and Alfreda (Al) Rehberg of Fairfield, Calif.; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Sonja Bowers; his parents; two brothers, Emil and Alving; three sisters, Hilda Rooney, Bertha Boschetti and Auget Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with pastor Gary F. Sahs  officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday (today) at Lanmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, where there will be at 6:45 p.m. Masonic Services Saturday at the church.

Hilda Rooney

Hilda A. Rooney, 87, 815 Chapin St., died Monday, Aug. 7, 1995, at Luther Hospital.

Hilda was born Aug. 1, 1908, in Colfax. She married Chester Rooney in 1929, in St. Paul. She worked at Uniroyal for 28 years.

Survivors include a son, Jerome Rooney of Burlington; a brother, Harold Peterson of Eau Claire; five sisters, Inga Ager and Agnes Cieslik, both of Chippewa Falls, Clara Tweet of Eau Claire, Ella Gough of Alanson, Mich., and Alfreda Rehberg of Fairfield, Calif..; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers; three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with Pastor Poland H. Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour before services Friday at the church.
